HTC Strengthens Disaster Resilience through A-PAD National Platform!

Holy Trinity College of General Santos City (HTC), represented by Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Marilou Albano, participated in the recent Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management Philippines (A-PAD PH) National Platform Meeting at Seda Manila Bay Hotel. As a key partner in HTC’s disaster management initiatives, A-PAD PH continues its focus on building strong multi-sectoral alliances to empower stakeholders in taking proactive measures against disasters. This participation underscores HTC’s deep commitment to the alliance’s guiding principle: that resilience is a shared responsibility. By actively engaging with the national platform, HTC ensures its institutional programs for disaster preparedness remain cutting-edge, reinforcing the safety and security of its entire community.

This strengthens our commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly in fostering:

  • SDG 13 (Climate Action). HTC’s involvement with the A-PAD National Platform is a direct action toward Climate Action. By engaging with this national planning body, HTC ensures its disaster preparedness efforts are robust and align with strategies to strengthen institutional resilience against natural and climate-related hazards.
  • SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals). The institution’s participation supports this goal by demonstrating effective multi-sectoral cooperation with non-governmental, regional, and national bodies. This collaboration is a vital step in working within a shared national framework to address a global challenge, upholding the principle that resilience is a shared responsibility.
