Institutional Community Outreach Brings Relief to Flood-Affected Families in Barangay Mudan

GLAN, Sarangani Province — An Institutional Community Outreach was conducted on August 8, 2026, at the Camp 1 Evacuation Site in Barangay Mudan, Glan, Sarangani Province, extending assistance to residents affected by the recent flooding in the area.

The outreach activity was organized by Gwenn M. Juanatas, MISDS, LPT, Social Orientation and Community Involvement Coordinator, together with the different departments of the institution. The collaborative effort brought together members of the institutional community in responding to the immediate needs of families affected by the flood.

A total of 260 sets of relief goods were distributed to 260 beneficiaries, providing much-needed assistance to residents temporarily staying at the evacuation site as they recover from the effects of the recent flooding.

The initiative reflected the institution’s continuing commitment to community engagement, social responsibility, and humanitarian service, particularly in extending timely assistance to communities experiencing emergencies and natural disasters. Through the distribution of essential relief supplies, the outreach aimed to help ease the challenges faced by affected families during their period of recovery.

The activity was carried out with the assistance and coordination of local and community leaders, including SK Chairperson Regamor I. Turtal, Barangay Kagawad Jona S. Tawan, Barangay Kagawad Junard U. Tagwalan, Tribal Chieftain Winston S. Tawan, and Purok Chairman Jick Veriño. Their support helped facilitate the orderly conduct of the activity and ensured that the assistance reached the intended beneficiaries.

Beyond providing immediate material assistance, the Institutional Community Outreach highlighted the importance of solidarity and cooperation among the institution, its different departments, local leaders, and the community in responding to the needs of people during times of crisis.

Through initiatives such as this, the institution continues to translate its commitment to service into meaningful action, standing in solidarity with communities in times of need and contributing to their recovery, resilience, and well-being.
